Rumour has it, 2AM will not be playing at this May’s ‘ I love republic of Korea dream concert’. Unfortunately I won’t be able to actually go but I was looking forward to watching some videos of the boys on youtube. Not fair!
The concert, which I reckon will be the biggest and best one in Korea this year, is on May 22nd and is going to be held at the World Cup Stadium. Over 20 bands have confirmed they will be playing there, including Wonder Girls, Rain and Lee Hyroi. So there is still a wicked line up but 2AM will definitely be missed.
There’s quite a bit of speculation going around about why they might have pulled out. As we all know, they have been getting quite a bit of attention recently and not just from within Korea. Apparently they have chosen to play a gig in America that night instead. They will be touring with JYP on their JYP tour 2010. They will be playing at the Roseland Ballroom in New York on the 21st. So, its good for American fans of 2AM but not so great for Korean fans! It’s quite a big moment though as it will be the first time that 2AM play in America! It’s JYP’S third tour and an extension of their Bad Party tour in Korea.
In other news, the beautiful 2AM boys are in May’s issue of Esquire magazine looking pretty damn cute in some very British looking clothing. They seem to be getting pretty big in the fashion world recently, you may remember them being in February’s Vogue, you can’t really get much more fashion than that can you? The shoot was called ‘ Night Escape’ and the boys looked amazing, so much so I reckon quite a lot of people wouldn’t mind escaping with them after seeing those pics!
2AM are modelling the clothes from Ziozia, the male clothing range, in the upcoming Esquire. They were chosen to represent this season’s ‘urban holiday’ look. Each of them represented a different variation of the look but all look equally as good as each other I think. Here’s what a representative of the brand had to say about the boys: “This spring season, men’s fashion has gotten more exciting following the mix-and-match of different casual elements of authentic British style from suits to stripes to colors. We think that 2AM’s healthy and chic charms fits this style, and they showed it off the best.”
You may miss them at the ‘I love republic of Korea dream concert’ this year but these pictures will keep you going and I’ve got a feeling they’re going to be everywhere this summer, so watch out for them!
