What Vegetable Tanned mean?
Vegetable tanned leather is a natural alternative to Chrome tanning. The leather is prepared by using vegetable extracts that create beautiful deep leathers.
What is a Blake Stitch?
The shoes are often strobel stitched and then a special machine stitches through the sole and upper. A very safe construction giving a very smart and clean look.
What is CANASTA?
The upper is folded over the mid sole and then stitched through. The shoes have a smarter look than stitch down and an extra layer of stitch through the folded upper.
Where do Terra Plana use Moccasin?

Through using nearly all stitched constructions Terra Plana minimize the amount of glue used in our shoes. Terra Plana are working with our factories to start using water based adhesives where glues are necessary.
What materials are used from Recycled?
Terra Plana try to use as many different recycled materials as possible from soling materials to old coats and parachutes.
What is Memory Foam?
Memory foam is light-weight, shock absorbing, breathable, and wicks moisture. The natural odour absorbing active carbon is fast drying and anti-bacteria, and contains no chrome.
