Fall collections can be a sombre affair at times, knowing that winter is just around the corner means everyone is starting to dust off their winter coats, put away the floral print and get out the grey. Well this fall the Doo.Ri collection, while of course basing itself on the normal grey and black scale, has throw into the mix a combination of prints and the use of reds, oranges and blues to keep the collection fresh.
Doo.Ri is also the fashion designer behind the brand under.linge, which is line of fashion often loosely, based on the Doo.Ri line but with a price tag that is more agreeable with us average Joes. The designer has already confessed she hopes to rework some of the Fall 2010 line into the more affordable line. Chung is known for her jersey dresses that incorporate her distinctive draping technique and this collection does not disappoint in that matter, what does however is the line of most of the designs.
This is a collection designed for the ultra skinny, with an original glance over the whole collection what jumped out at me was the fact that almost all the looks had a tapered waist and there was a dependence on a killer pair of pins to make the looks works. Take the dress below left put this on a woman with shapely hips or who does not have a flat stomach and the line will not flatter.

Ok how about above middle, pretty pattern, a bit longer but this rake thin model already looks top heavy in this, although drawn at the waist to create shape the design is gathered and not flattering. Alright what about the orange number? Again I don’t know too many fuller figured woman who could pull of the tight sequined skirt. Although the colours are fun, the prints pretty and splashes of sequins make this a nice collection it’s a collection for the super skinny not the everyday woman.
