Like many Asian countries, Korea showcases inspirational and pretty fashion sense and in many instances, really knows how to push the boundaries with styles, designs and patterns. With the ladies in mind, Korea is also known to have a very demure and subtle taste and this is what is represented on the streets the majority of the time.Many of the major styles featuring in Korea this year include loose fitting and chic jumpsuits as well as stylish and pretty garments and tops that are delicate to touch and are made of the finest materials. 

All Korean clothes have a hint of Asian flair about them but all have been tailored and altered to fit in with mainstream fashion too. In fact, many people are now seeing Korea as an increasingly dynamic fashion centre that should be taken notice of.With regards to taking notice and appreciating what Korea has to offer, many of the country's designers are actually appearing more and more at prestigious designer events which goes some way to highlighting the impact that the country is having on the fashion world in general. For instance, this time last year saw Korea's standing in the fashion world go up a gear when there were four Korean designers at New York Fashion Week. 

This was the start of the world acknowledging the country and what it could offer in terms of styles, interpretations and ideas.Concept Korea, a government-sponsored showcase of fashions from South Korea, presented four designers to New York Fashion Week and the event proved to be one in a long line of prestigious dates that introduced Korean culture to a global audience. The four designers were chosen by a panel of fashion experts to represent the country and were selected from over 40 designers. These designers included; Doho, General Idea, Steve J and Yoni P and Lie Sang Bong.Lie Sang Bong is the most established Korean designer - appearing regularly at Paris Fashion Week -and generally showcases collections of elegance and innocence. Lie Sang Bong has also had his designs worn by Rihanna and Lady Gaga to name but a few. 

The other designers however were chosen because of the sheer diversity between them all. For example, Steve J and Yoni P are designers that offer quite lively options and are very trendy with regards to patterns and pushing the boundaries with colours. Doho provides more of a feminine and artistic batch of designs and General Idea offers a more casual and hip choice of clothing.

In Korea, fashion is a real passion for many of its people and only now are we really starting to see the richness of fashion talent coming through. More designers are showcasing their ideas on the world platform and great inspiration is starting to filter through. Up until now, no-one has really highlighted the diversity of Korean fashion in the western market, however, all this is changing, as many people in the industry are now starting to see the originality and quality that Korean designers can bring to the global market and sector.
