Asian Clothing for Women

There are several annual fashion shows that draw the best and brightest in the industry to showcase their latest designs and attract the attention of the world.

One of them is the scintillating show put on during Hong Kong Fashion Week. This is the second largest exhibition of its kind in the world and the largest in Asia, and every established or aspiring designer of fashion apparel is almost certain to be there.

Among the many stars in this fashion firmament is Monique Zhang, whose strong Chinese heritage is combined with her many years in the U.S. to create dazzling pieces that build on both Eastern and Western traditions. Her creations are colourful and dressy, and one of her unique and beautifully made jackets is a must for any wardrobe of Asian fashion.

Another outstanding designer who uses both East and West in her contemporary but timeless creations is Esther Yiu Shih. She works with traditional Asian materials such as silk employed in the most modern of Western designs, and conversely with traditional Western materials like cashmere and wool incorporating Asian motifs and features such as mandarin collars and sleeves.
